I drive myself crazy trying to figure out what causes my periodic headaches. Is it the weather? I've been in a pre-migraine state as three weather systems have passed through this time. Caffeine? I drink way less now than I did a couple of years ago. Poor eyesight? I can see fine, until I can't--but it always precedes a migraine, sometimes, like now, a couple of weeks before. Fragrance? It's the most likely culprit, but though I cast a suspicious eye toward my neighbor's dryer vent--constantly running this week--I don't have the clear cause-and-effect connection I prefer.
Although I can't tell what triggers the migraines, I know working on the computer aggravates them. I'm going to strictly limit my computer time today. Get my blood pumping with some strenuous housekeeping. Stop trying to figure out why and just figure out how to live with them, I guess. Tired of driving myself crazy.
Hope y'all have a great day.
Sorry about the migraines, hon. I had a bout there for about a week where there was one looming always ready to pounce, just beyond my reach. It's no fun.

Migraines are evil. No 2 ways about it. And I'm so sorry you're trying to cope with another one so soon. It seems like you just got rid of the last one you had.
ReplyDeleteIt could be hormonal too. I had a niece who always got them once a month and I've heard that's not uncommon. So many reasons, so few helps. We've put men on the moon and still suffer with colds and headaches. Something seems wrong with that.
I hope you feel better soon hon. *hugs* (quiet ones!)
Poor you! I take three medications to keep the migraines to a dull roar. When the weather changes, I get headaches, but when thunderstorm rolls in, or the atmospheric pressure changes dramatically--wham! Foods, flourescent lights, being tired, too much or too little coffee, raw onions...so many things can affect you. Try and avoid excess caffiene, raw onion, chocolate, flourescent lights, odors (for me it's ammonia or bleach) and see if that helps?

Migraines--like our brains throwing temper tantrums. I think there are different factors--foods, weather, stress...
ReplyDeleteI had such a horrible headache this morning--complete with stomach ache. Not a migraine but only a few screams away. So, I woke up at 5 am feeling awful. And then I think about the night before and I become convinced, CONVINCED, that I had called my friend Nicole by the name Kathy all night. Like I'm some kind of idiot. So I email her at 5:30 in the morning to apologize for getting her name wrong. Of course, she wrote me and she's like, "I don't know what you're talking about."
See--don't drunk call people. And don't headache write them either.
Feel better soon.
Minus the headache part, that's a funny story. I do feel better, and I guess you do, too, or you wouldn't be posting here. Yay, us!
