Somehow my comment stat sneaked past 2,000 while I wasn't looking. I had vaguely thought of doing something wild -n- crazy to mark the number, back in the 1,950 range, but obviously there ain't too much wild -n- crazy goin' on here.

It's funny how the things that you eagerly anticipate in November become ho-hum by January. How people drift in and out of your life and you don't even notice. How we try to define every minute of our days, but the true nature of time defies definition. It is flexible and subjective and I embrace that aspect more and more as I age.

Wow. Where did that come from?

  1. 2000 comments. Cool. How many spam are you at right now? 10,000. 5:1 seems like an appropriate ratio. Not that I have any research or facts to back that up. It just sounds about right.

  2. I'm at only 6,663 spam. A bargain, at any price!

  3. You know, I have NO idea how many comments I have. Now you've got me wondering.

Congrats on your milestone "meh". ;)

  4. Aren't we funny how we think some things need to be marked? I thought of marking my 2k comment, too, and I'm coming close to 400 posts ... then I think, nah.

I only have 400 spam though. Is that a good or a bad thing? Seems like I should have more somehow.

    Time is eternal. ;)

  5. Sherri- I love the way you surprise yourself as you write- and then you admit it- it makes me smile. I like what you said about how what we anticipate becomes ho-hum- it offers a sense of not being trapped by our own expectations.

  6. Thanks :)

I'm glad you people talk a lot, or I'd be awfully lonely on my cul-de-sac of the Internet. Keep the comments comin'!

(And I guess I must sheepishly admit now that about a third of the 2,000 comments are mine. hehe)
